Happy 2025 … Ready or Not!

Standard

Hard to believe it’s another year down the tubes! Already?!? But each year, no matter how smooth or rocky, I do my best to count my blessings!

Rainbow Xmas!

This year is no exception, as I traveled with Atlantis Events out of San Diego to Mexico, and out of Puerto Rico to the Caribbean and onto the beaches of Cancun.

Then the summer was all Ptown for 60 “Phony Baloney” shows, where I enjoyed fun in the sun and skedaddling on the scooter down the busy throughfare of Commercial Street. So many fond memories of seeing old friends and making new ones.

A highlight was donning a 3-cornered hat and a corset for this year’s Carnival Renaissance & Revolution parade, which had me driving a pirate ship with Boston Harbor Cruises.

Also fun were the “one-off’s” that are singular performances at parties and events. I rode my bicycle in the Palm Springs Pride Parade and performed a wonderful benefit brunch at the delicious Eight4Nine with John and Willie!

Later in the fall, I was very honored to be invited to my buddy Tom’s 60th birthday in Minneapolis. Reuniting with friends from so many years back and seeing my buddy Amy Armstrong was such a joy.

And the year ended with my holiday shows at the Illusion Theater in my home state of Minnesota! Always a treat to be at a fancy theater with all the bells and whistles, along with my actual, live penis, Todd Price! We’ve all been together for 26 years! I also take it on the road to Rehoboth Beach, DE, where I do two shows at the Blue Moon!

Of course, there are farewells we make each year, such as I did in November to my beloved Bingo Bonanza that we started 9 days after the Chlamydia-19 shutdown! We did 120 bingos, along with many Pajama Parties and Trivia Shacks!

And as I say goodbye, I try to focus on the relationships I gained and will continue to foster in the future. So it’s not really goodbye, it’s more a wish to see my friends in other places and spaces over the coming year!

Thomas with Seneca & Gibson

Sadly, I also lost my friend Thomas who invited me to ring in the New Year at his LA home for the last two years. He’ll be missed by many friends and his two lovely children Gibson and Seneca. He was taken too soon, which makes the news even more heartbreaking!

Watch for me in 2025 as I join 2 Atlantis Cruises in February and buy tickets now for my last “Phony Baloney” show at Sunshine Cathedral in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on Sat, March 29. Always a great way to close out my show and start out the new year!

Best to you all & hope to see you soon — Miss R
