Hello to all my darling prairie dogs!

It’s official – I’m off Old Cape Cod and on that dirty dog! It feels good to be back on the Greyhound, sitting in front so I can visit with the driver. And this trip is very special, as I go bi-coastal, taking “Asians & Homos & Jews, Oh My!” to Philly and eventually that land of fruit and nuts, Los Angeles!

But I have to keep this note short, as I’m at a KFC on I-80 outside of Streetsboro, OH. We’re only parked for 10 minutes, while the driver unplugs the bus toilet.

Goodness, I wish we could get our senior friends to dispose of their adult diapers in the convenient plastic-lined trashcan at the front of the bus, instead of trying to flush them down the lavatory in the back! Those toilets are sensitive. I once plugged one by flushing a used tea bag, some out-of-date Pamprin and a recipe card. I find that a private bathroom moment is a good time to clean out my handbag.

The driver is a very nice gal named Frank, which I’m guessing is short for Francine or maybe Frankfort. She seems very bothered with this bathroom problem, muttering something about “not being a blankity, blank plumber.” I find that interesting because I think she looks like a plumber. I think I’ll tell her that when we get back on board.

I have to run and order my 3-piece, extra-crispy with a biscuit and corn. I’m also going to grab an extra wet wipe for Frank.
